OVERTIME BYPASS FORM

If you believe the company has bypassed your request for overtime, please send the union an email (info@yyzd301.com) with your full name, employee#, seniority date, your telephone#, the date & time of bypass and any other information for investigation.


Article 7.03.03: Overtime will be offered to the senior employee with the least accumulated annual overtime hours (April 1st to March 31st) as of 23:59 the day prior to the overtime call-out list being actioned.

1. Order of selection for OT for two (2) or less hours of overtime:

a) Full Time Employees
b) Part Time Employees
c) If there are no employees on the overtime list, the Company will canvass employees on shift

2. Order of selection for OT for more than two (2) hours – min four (4) hour recall:

a) Full Time Employees
b) Part Time Employees
c) If there are no employees on the overtime list, the Company will canvass employees on shift, first with FT and then PT employees
d) Notwithstanding the above, where the need for overtime arises day of and when facing a time constraint, the Company will hire overtime from the employees on shift as per the order stated in #1


OVERTIME CANCELLATION BY THE COMPANY

7.04.01 NOTE 1: should the requirements of the operation change, the establishment and guarantee of time to be worked may be cancelled by the Company up to forty-eight (48) hours prior to the commencement of the time to be worked, in which case no credits shall apply.


PART TIME OVERTIME

COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT – PART TIME OVERTIME

L1.05.01 Part-Time employees working overtime will receive overtime credits at straight time until forty (40) hours have been worked in a given week.

L1.05.02 Recall of part-time employees shall be in accordance with Article 7.03.03 point 2 and pay credits will be in accordance with Article 7.04.

7.04.01 RECALL: If an employee is requested to work any time not consecutive with their scheduled shift, the Company shall establish and guarantee the time to be worked, but in any case the employee shall be credited with a minimum of four (4) hours.

Part time overtime pay (time and a half) when one of the following occurs;

  1. Recall = 15 Minutes gap between the end of the shift and beginning of the overtime and a minimum of 4 hours work. The employee must ask for recall and its up to the company to approve the request. If approved for recall, the employee must punch out at the end of their shift and punch in for the overtime within the 15 minutes gap.
  2. Overtime worked after the 40 hours threshold in the same pay week, will be pay time and a half.
  3. Scheduled day off with overtime:
    a) Overtime worked on a scheduled day off (with no other shift) will be paid at time and a half.
    b) Overtime with a (PT or FT ) shift picked up on a scheduled day off, must follow rule #1 or #2 above to get paid time and a half.

The overtime coding doesn’t matter as long as you meet one of the 3 requirements above for overtime pay.

In order to qualify for double time pay on the 2nd scheduled day off, employee must have work overtime on both schedule day off. This rule applies for both Full Time and Part Time employees.

PAY TO PUNCH

Stuck with a flight or a passenger and going to be late punching out? Call deployment and advise them in advance why you are punching out late and if they agree to pay to punch out. If they agree to pay to punch out, please ensure you write down the date, time of punch out and the name of the Deployment personnel.

Part Time employees – Straight Time
